Works fine on Galaxy Nexus phone, but same database on Nexus 7 gets Version 1 error

I can open my KeePass database on my Galaxy Nexus phone without any problems. But when I try to open the same database on my Nexus 7, I get: "An error occurred. The selected file appears to be an old format (Keepass 1.X)." I can open the database with KeePassDroid...

Any thoughts? Thank you!

is it actually a .kdb file (saved with Keepass 1 or Keepassdroid)? Or is it a kdbx? Do you have the same versions of KP2A on both devices? Which versions are these?
(sorry for only asking questions instead of providing answers :-))

Thank you for your attention. I must apologize. I should have done the following research before wasting your time.

The problem seems to be with Dropbox... Because I obfuscate things with the file extension, I must "export" the file from Dropbox to local storage before I can open it with Keepass2Android. In the export process, my 240K byte database gets truncated to 170K. When I copy the file over directly, Keepass2Android works perfectly.

Thanks for this terrific product and for your careful attention to its users!
