encrypt extra string fields?

This functionality exists in the desktop version of Keepass, can the option be added to Keepass2Android?

The completed kdbx file is encrypted, so the extra strings are safe as well. Maybe you mean the string protection check box?
This has two effects: the strings are hidden in the password screen (there is already a feature request for this and. I am planning to implement this in the future). Furthermore, the strings are encrypted in memory (which is not possible but also not required on Android).
